Dr. Sufia Azmat is a seasoned research and Early Childhood Development (ECD) professional. Two decades of experience revolves around teaching, curriculum development, developing and implementing government research projects, proposal writing, designing methodologies, extensive and analytical report writing, capacity building, interventions and networking with government organizations for policy practice.
She is presently leading the research vertical at Centre for Learning Resources, Pune – leading their research and monitoring efforts pan India. For a large part of her career she was an Asstt. Professor at Centre for Early Childhood Development and Research, Jamia Millia Islamia. She has completed master’s in social work from Aligarh Muslim University in the year 2005 and PhD. from Jamia Millia Islamia in 2018 on Early Childhood Care Practices. the thrust areas remain early childhood development, maternal and child health and parenting using rights-based approach. She has presented papers at International and National conferences and authored 10 papers and an edited book around ECD.
